ROUTE 3 BEUDA - SANT MIQUEL DE COMA DE ROURA
We leave Beuda from the Besalú’s road. In a nearby curve we will take another road, to the right, direction to the Quera’s fountain and continuing to the right side of castle.
We now continue to the house of Coll de Jou, trough a croop field. and crossing the Cabanelles’s mountain stream. Then we will descend to Can Vilà. Little further there is Can Nierga and a crossing...we will go on to the right, downhill, reaching to the nearby old Molindo d’en Guillot (water mill) in ruins.
We will cross the Rajolin’s stream. We are in the lowest point of the track, at a height of 300 m.
We continue trough the hill of a road, to a crossing. Then we will go to the right, trough the wood to find the ruins of the Can Lleona’s house (which goes back to the year 1345 but was closed at the end of the 60’s). From here we can see the Coma de Roure and the Mare de Déu del Mont.
The roads leads to Can Lleona in Can Ripolls. In a curve to the right there is a path towards the left. Further this route goes to the left side of the Coma de Roure’s mountain stream. We will cross it and walk along the right side: we will be in the middle of the pothole.
The zigzaging route leads to the Cuello de Goló.
We will make our way to the right, leaving the hillock. Then we will pass trough a rocky area and climb in a zigzaging route once again. We go towards the right and reach the path of Come de Roure wich we will go up until finding a road. we will continue along this road to a house. Here you can enjoy a beautiful view. From left to right: Rocacorba, el Montseny, el Far, Santa Maria de Finestres, Ayats, Cabrera, Puig Sacalm, Pedraforça, el Taga... and below: Banyoles, Besalú, Beuda, Tortella. Beside the house there is a fountain and some drinking troughs.
Below the road we find a good track heading towards the chapel of Sant Miquel de Coma de Rourte (called Sarrugada in the 13. century. We will return along the same track, passing between the house and the fountain. Leaving the cabin to the left, we will continue trough the forest, passing the fountain of La Llosa. Descending trough some old forest trails we will go by the Quintà, to the Forat de la Campana in a strong curve.
Further below there is small hill call the Creu de Pinell. The road heads towards the right. We will continue descending to the Pines d’en Tries. Then we will take the left road. We can see now the Can Grau’s cultivated fields below us.
We are very close to the Rajolins and Torrent d’Espinau. We cross now the mountain stream and continue to the right, along the Can Grau’s road. Further there is Can Tries to the left.
After crossing the Cabanelles’s mountain stream and finding an old lime kiln to the left, we will go down the highway to a crossing. We will turn to the left (we have already been here some hours ago!).
We will find the Pla de Can Calona and the Coll de Jou again. We can see now Beuda and the castle (strong house built in 14th-15th by the Queixàs). We will take the highway to Besalú. When we see the Casot to our left we will take the path of the right to go up to Beuda. |
